Services Offered…
Stress Point Massage Therapy
This type of massage focuses on 25 stress points on the horse that correspond
to the most common equine movements.  The benefits of this type of massage
include:
Improvement of the blood and lymph flow which boosts the function of the
immune system
Enhancement of tissue elasticity and joint flexibility
Faster recovery from strenuous activity
Reduction of anxiety
Myofascial Release
This is a permanent elongation of foreshortened connective tissue found
underneath the skin and on top of the muscle.  The body’s myofascial system is
critical to the health and function of the horse.
Young Living Essential Oils
These are therapeutic-grade essential oils created by Dr. Gary Young.  They
are not the adulterated oils that you find in health food stores.  These oils are
strictly pure and can in fact be ingested if necessary.
Raindrop Technique
This technique uses 9 different Young Living Oils along with massage and Vita
Flex to bring the body into structural and electrical alignment.  It has many
benefits for horses such as, strengthening the immune system, uplifting
emotions, drawing toxins out of the body, antiviral, antifungal, antiprotozoa, it
soothes and smoothes sore muscles, and helps to protect a horse from
diseases or illnesses that other horses may have.
Acupressure
This practice helps to maintain the health of animals using noninvasive touch
techniques in order to move and balance energy.  It is very similar to
acupuncture, however it does not use needles to stimulate the acupoints.
Horses are especially responsive and willing acupressure subjects.  The benefit
of acupressure varies immensely depending on the points that are stimulated.
Reiki
This is a technique of hands-on healing during which practitioners work directly
with the Universal Life Force Energy.  In horses it strongly promotes healing.

A Little Background Info…
Holly Johnson started her horse experience 13 years ago taking lessons as a
hunter/jumper, and has been diligently working with them ever since.  She
received her certificate for equine massage through Susan Franz,
physiotherapist of Indian Creek Equine Rehabilitation Center in Worden,
Illinois.   Not only did Holly participate in Franz’s classes, but she was frequently
given the opportunity to work with Franz one on one.  Through Holly’s studies
with Franz she was also trained in the use of photon and ultrasound therapy.
However, the bulk of Holly’s experience has come from the horse that she
adopted from Franz.  Holly’s horse Jack was going to be euthanized by his
previous owners because he was not able to canter due to a problem with his
stifles.  Holly holistically worked with him for 18 months and he is now able to
canter out in pasture as well as under saddle.
In addition to Holly’s training with Suzie Franz, she also worked with Dr. John J.
Hanover DVM.  Through her work with him she was introduced to Young Living
Essential Oils.  Holly formally began her education of the oils 2 ½ years ago
from attending classes and seminars taught by Cherie Ross of RCC Inc. and
she continually pursues to enhance her knowledge of them.
Last, but certainly not the least, Holly received her Reiki I certification from Irene
Dunbar, Reiki Master Teacher, in July of 2004.
